September - Wanderers Return

So as I feared, there was little time to keep a journal whilst we were away in California. Also, I have been recording my thoughts and ideas in both a journal and poetry for a while now and I thought it would be 'good' to stop being so focused for a while and just - be.
It was good to be away, good to be in another place, another time, another experience. We had a great time and I took loads of photos - currently 7,000 and counting!
But, as is always the case, the issues and challenges in my 'real' life were still here on our return. I'm still in the same situation that I was - I just have to endure and get through it.
I wrote 10 poems whilst away, and I really like a few of them; they'll make the next collection for sure. Perhaps under a 'USA' section. Two especially chime for me; 'Yosemite' and 'Spirit Chasers'. The first one is self explanatory, the second is about Dolphins in the sea not 20 feet from us when we were at Newport Beach. To see them playing and reveling in the sea, the foam, the waves, was a moving experience for Lisa and I.
So, halfway through September, Laura is back at school, Ed returns to Uni very soon having published his first collection of poetry (available in the Store, as are mine!), and Lisa is back to work.
Time seems to be rushing past at illegal speeds; but I suppose this is the same for everyone over 50!
