So, this is the final day of July and the news I was hoping for from my organisation of 28 years has thus far failed to materialise. I'd like to say that I'm surprised, but in all honesty I cannot. Once that decision has been made and I become free of the pressure and stress of the situation, I hope a new chapter in my life can begin.
One piece of news that I find very exciting is that, after a hiatus of some three years or so, it is possible that there'll be some new music by UnderTow in the near future! (I didn't say that you would find it exciting.) At this time, I now have all of the raw mixes of some 130 songs, installed some new audio creation software (Cubase & WaveLab) on my main computer, and am in the process of going through hundreds of megabytes of raw .wav files in order to sort them into their respective songs and then I'll aim to make them into final stereo mixes. Add to that, in our chatting about this process with Keith, he revealed that he actually had a new piece of music that had no words as yet - he sent that to me and I'm also in the process of putting words to that. There are never any certainties but I am hoping that this new collaboration might be the catalyst to rekindle the musical partnership that I cherish so much. More news on this as it becomes relevant. In other news, there has been some (slow) progress on my stories collection - it is also taking shape, and I hope to be in a position to release it on Kindle soon. Keep reading, keep safe all....
